IDPH Test Reporting

Published May 7, 2022

On or around April 20, 2022, the Illinois Department of Public Health upgraded its APIs and website which removed reporting on test results including historical results. This website relies on the number of tests being reported to determine positivity rate based on known positive cases in the state. Since this date, the reporting on this site has been reduced as the daily data received now only includes cases and deaths from their APIs.

While test results has become more inaccurate due to at home testing, I believe this number is still valuable in the fight to stop the spread and to equip residents with all the public data available to make smarter decisions about their lives. It is unfortunate and disappointing that the state has eliminated this data from its APIs and website.

You can still view tests results on this website starting from March 2020 through April 2022, when the IDPH removed these results. This data has been pulled from the IDPH daily and is considered accurate to the acceptance of real time data. I will continue to monitor the situation and sources for other ways to share data about the COVID-19 virus in the state of Illinois.
